    Just a Bowl

This is a 12 inch wide bowl of figured ambrosia maple

Let me know what you think

I like your bowl, great job!
I've still got part of an Ambrosia Maple log that I felled last year, in fact I roughed out four small bowls this morning out of it. Maple turns and finishes out nicely.

It may be "Just a bowl" to you but it looks great to me.

Nice figure Ron. What did you finish it with?

Beautiful wood. Beautifully turned. It would be interesting to turn a second identical one that was flipped top for bottom and see how it changed the ambrosia color and what affect it would have on the fiddle. Using a number of blanks the same log and making a series of bowls with different orientations would be a great study? Our club used to give out wood and we all bring back a painted (black or white paint) bowl and compare form and shapes.
