PO box door for a coin bank.

I made this 9" tall coin bank to look like an old street corner mail box. I made it using 3/8" oak and finished it with spray on Poly. Quick and easy project.

That sure is a cool design. I have a bunch of those doors I bought at a tag sale probably 15-20 years ago. The standard "box" design was what I was thinking, but then everyone at a craft show seemed to be doing them. This one is unique for sure.

I absolutely love the design so no disrespect intended but isn't the door mounted upside down?

I wondered about which way was up myself until I noticed the PO box number (that I have removed) was printed with this configuration.

All the ones I've seen had the window at the bottom like Jim's.
Jim, that is really well done. You nailed the corner mail box!
