    Dead Chinese Laser

I need some help. I went out to fire up my blue/white Chinese laser last night and nothing. The internal light came on but nothing else. The controller never came up. The switch for the exhaust fan, which is on the same circuit as the laser power, works fine. So far I've checked the fuse, checked all the wiring for lose connections, checked the E-stop button and scratched my head. What am I missing? I really need this thing to be up and running soon. Thanks.

When was the last time it worked and you do have a volt ohm meter right?

Have you checked for a blown fuse inside the power supply for the controller and stepper drivers? A multimeter is handy for checking where power gets to or not.

To add-- do any LED's on the controller or drivers come on?

You say the blower is on the same circuit, I assume you mean the same breaker in your breaker box but using a different power receptacle-- I ask because my Triumph has installed outlets of its own for other 'appliances'-- does yours? If so, are they alive or dead?

Check with vom to see if power is at controller. If so, it might me toast, if no power trace back to find issue.....

Check voltage coming out of the PSU (not the HV PSU, the 24v PSU). If nothing out, check 120vac going into the PSU. If you got 120v but no output, its the PSU. If you got 24v coming out of the PSU, follow that to the controller. Depending on model you might have a fuse. If not, it could be the controller. Hope for the PSU or fuse. They are the cheap parts
