When I subscribe to a thread, I am no longer getting email notifications.
Check your settings using the settings tab at the top right corner of the screen. Once you open the settings scroll down to General and make sure your email is set as shown below.

Also check your email address under "Edit Email & Passwords" to insure it is correct.
