    Grizzly jointer-planer G0634Z

Does anyone have any experience with the G0634Z, 12" jointer planer, spiral cutterhead, German made machine? Thanks.

German made machine? It's made in Taiwan. All of Grizzly's stuff is either made there or in China.

I stand corrected. The original question still applies.

I have the G0633. I have had it for 6-7 years. It has the straight knives. The start capacitor went out about a year after getting it. Easy fix. Had a belt break. Another easy fix. Knives are easy to exchange out. Easy to switch from jointer to planer. I do like the new fence that comes on the XP. (wish i had it) It would take up less space than what i have now. The current fence needs room behind it. I do have it on a mobile base which work well.

Search is your friend. Go up to the General Woodworking forum, and enter the part number in the Search Forum box in the upper right. It will find you lots of threads about this machine.
