    Thanks for showing this, I will have to try it. Your "skate" seems to be a larger, flatter area than the "keel" suggested by Chris Pye. So am interested in comparing the two.

    Can't say I'm impressed. It's kind of a veiner now rather than a v-tool and doesn't cut cleanly. I'll do it by hand when I actually have to remove real amounts of metal. Everett Ellenwood does it well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh6i8fRseng 6 minutes in.
