    As I understand it, no. It also depends on the number of components whether it needs to be UL rated.

    50amp cord ends aren't cheap, but yeah. It also has to be connected for the inspector to say anything. His job is to ensure the circuits aren't going to kill everyone. If it's not plugged in, too bad sunshine. No ticky, no raundry.

    As I recall the plug and receptacle where about $100 .. I love that saying .. no ticky no raundry
