    Festool Boom Arm question

    Hey Festool guys!

I finally bought my first bit of festool kit--an MFT systainer and some clamps.
Ironically, pretty much everything else isn't festool:
Bosch drills, Makita tracksaw, Dewalt small router, no jigsaw yet (thinking mafell or Bosch), Fein and Nilfisk vacs...and a bunch of systainers.

Since I'm regularly getting a paycheck now, money isn't as big an issue.
However, time, ergonomics and quality are very important to me.

For you Festool guys, can you use an Ultimate Dust Deputy along with a boom arm on a CT26?

I really like the functionality of the boom arm, and was thinking of rigging one with my Fein vac/Dust Deputy combination...but I'm super pressed for time.

As far as I know you can.

And welcome to the green koolaid. Be prepared to fork over every free penny you have for the next couple years accumulating all the green you never thought you'd need. It's addicting. Also, check out the Festool Owners Group (FOG). One of the best forums out there and its run by Festool.

Yes, you can. I have the exact setup you described.

I have the same setup and LOVE it. Keeps both the electrical cord and vac hose out of the way.
