Thread: Acanthus leaves.

    Acanthus leaves.

Always one of my favorite things to carve. So versatile in its use , fill space, and end up with somthing nice and decorative to look at. These will be used in a kitchen and will be painted. Not very big as they ended up 22" x 9.5" .

The leaf end fold detail really makes them. Must be seen on the big screen! Let's hope the painter doesn't fill 'em full of caulk.

    Thank you Mel !
They are fun to do . Twist and turn , roll them under, curl 'em around. So versatile for filling space . And a nice linearity within themselves . Your eye keeps moving over them. Cool.
