I saw these when I first got there and decided if he still had them on the way out I'd make an offer and they followed me home.

Nothing really exciting but I just couldn't pass up the laminate trimmer NIB for 10$, still have the one I bought in 1986 and have not used since 1990, but I do plug it in to see if still works. The molding plane is from Auburn Tool Auburn NY and they have been out of business for 120 years.

Well it's been some time since there was anything god to post...that all changed today. The crate that the planes were in had 16 profiles including a double iron
1 1/2'' half round that was in great shape actually all were good and sharp, but reality took hold and I picked the ones that I would use.
IMG_2903.jpg 2 rusty #4's late model Stanley made in England with black plastic furniture 3$ Hercules/Sargent 1$,
the 4 wooden planes, 1/2'' skewed, 1'' skewed, 1 3/4'' smoother, 1 1/4'' scrub and the 18'' Disston D-20 all for 50$.
Mitutoyo metric 6'' 5$ and the files and bits were a buck each.

Reason: New info on the Disston.

Got it cleaned and it appears to be a Disston 18'' D20 with 11 TPI.

The handle has a crack but it's in great condition, clean and sharp so I'm going to leave as is.

Found these today missing the 1'' and appear to be hand forged.
