    I only ever seem to make functional things,my wife says. She seems to be right,though I've made a number of master models of jewelry for her so she can make money from them.

    BUT,If making the wooden plane sharpens your skills,it does leave a benefit.

    Thanks George. I was thinking I'd do it mostly with hand tools, so I would get some practice in. Just a silly, whimsical sorta thing!
