A wee bit of trading, today

Let's see, no longer need the lathe chisels, mostly Craftsman, as I no longer HAVE a lathe....friend of mine got a "new" lathe, and needed a few extra chisels..

That used to be my old bench I built LONG ago. Anyway, those are all the chisels he had. Traded the 6 I had for three "stick" of wood...

    3/4" x 4" x 7' Black Walnut.....even has a bit of figure..

    6 chisels = 7 board feet...right?

Would have stayed there a little longer, and maybe work out a few other deals......BIG thunderstorm was rolling through the area.
Now I need to find a Project for these little boards....

I couldn't see any name on that lathe, today......wondering who made it.

The bench it sits on is the one I built a long time ago..

Seems to be a better lathe bench.....

Lathe appears to be a 1941 Dunlap, sold through Sears & Roebuck....I doubt IF that motor was a part of the purchase, though....

    Nice. Love Black Walnut.
    Love that bench, too.
