    L. & J.G.. Stickley No. 110 Nightstand - #2 - My 14 Year Old's 4H Project

I built one of these last fall for my Father-In-Law. My 14 year old did this one for 4H. The plans are from "Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture". He hand-cut the dovetails and chopped 30 mortises for this little piece - it has dust panels between the drawers. Primary wood is white oak - poplar was used for the drawer sides and dust panel frames. Chestnut stain with two coats of diluted poly semi gloss and a final coat of satin. It will go in our guest room until the day comes that he claims it for his own house/apartment.

Wow, handcutting dovetails at age 14 ... that's awesome. I'm sure he has a great teacher!

That is amazing work for someone that young! I'd certainly be proud to have made such a nice piece.
