    Miniature stuff

So far all my wood-working (using hardwoods) that I'm actually proud of is small stuff - display pieces, slingshots, etc.

Does anyone here do that kind of thing and is it appropriate to post here or will nobody care?

Small stuff is still interesting! I'd enjoy seeing it. Perhaps others would too. Try it and see!

I would certainly like to see them. I like to make small things too, mostly woodturning but not always. Just for fun, here are some very small things - they fit on a penny!

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your things. Maybe get some ideas!

It sure makes the wood budget go a long way.

You should see some of the goblets our friend John Lucas has turned - some you need a magnifier to even see them. He got into a friendly competition with another guy and they got so small a single wood pore in the stem would cause it to fail! I think he said he made some turning tools out of sewing needles.

We had a miniature turning contest here many years ago, you might try searching for the thread some of the pictures are very impressive.
