Tung Oil Mix Vs BLO Mix

I'm out of the Tung oil, dna, shellac mix that I've used for awhile and was wondering how it compares to the BLO Mix. I have to order pure Tung oil. I usually get it from woodcraft. But I think I can get BLO locally.

BLO is the standard for that mix, been using it for years

BLO tends to turn slightly yellow over time; tung oil does not.

What was your experience with the Tung Oil / dna / shellac? Is that a wipe-on wipe off finish? Drying time between coats?

It seemed to work good. I always wiped it on and used it like a friction polish. Normally the more coats, the better it looked. It took a few days for the smell to go away. Not exactly sure on the dry time. I always finished then put them up until l got several to buff. Thanks for the replies.
