2nd run at stair tread grip

With aspire 9.010 went at the stair tread trying to cut down the machine time and also adding a reverse type cut or climb vs conventional hoping to clean
up the cut from the V90 bit as different wood grains act differently when machined (shredded looking)
The time has been cut a lot , but I had to do the 2 runs climb and conventional and the wood looks 99% better
looks like these can be done at less than 10 min

I would look for a more effective pattern with greater coverage.

the area was 25x8 in stair builder's request, the tread is 42 in

That diamond pattern provides for the best traction in the precise center of the tread, right where no one places their feet. And the least amount of traction right where people do place their feet. Implied in the stair builder's request must have been a desire for practical application of the 42 square inches. I would rethink the layout for safety's sake. Form follows function.

I also had a rectangular shape with about 4 squares , the builder has picked this one because of the cost

its sad that things have to be cost accepted, might not be the right thing but the stair builder does not want to append much on these grips, which to me lacquered up might still be slippery
cannot push him into any changes unless they are cost effective
