    Cutting Boards

    Hello everyone.

I began woodworking not long ago with building simple cutting boards.

I didn't have many tools, so the first ones were made with 1x2's of hardwood bought at Home Depot.

The one with my dog is the first one I ever built.

I then got a small saw and began cutting strips and experimenting with different woods.

Here are some of the ones I've made. I gave them all away and people seem to really love them!

I included a serving tray as well.

I have not yet tried any end-grain ones, but I'm sure I will one of these days.

I'm a little hesitant because my planer isn't that great and I don't have a drum sander.

    What do you think?

What is your favorite, and why?

What would you have done differently?

What is something I should start doing that I'm not doing already?

    Take Care!

Nice work. You could build a business just doing what you're doing. I see you sign your work. My only suggestion might be to sign an edge. Less chance for trapping juices/crumbs and less chance it will get sanded or scrapped off many years from now.

Great looking cutting boards and beautiful wood. I would leave the initials off or put them on the back.

Those look more like "serving" boards than like cutting boards. They are to pretty to put a knife edge on.
