    Eclipse mirror by John Lucas

TN woodturner and demonstrator John Lucas gave me an eclipse mirror yesterday. He was working on it when I hauled telescopes and visited on the 21st to watch the eclipse - photos posted elsewhere. He used an air brush to paint the sun's corona.

I wonder if an eclipse mirror is unique.

John makes a lot of hand mirrors and teaches classes on them.

  2. Lucky you, JKJ, and John does great mirrors. The timing of this one made it all the more special.

It's incredible in the hand too!

We had a great time at his private eclipse viewing. Wizard Lucas is about a 2 hr drive from me - I love visiting just to see what amazing new creative thing he is working on.
