grinding jointer/planer knives in place, cutterhead lock

When grinding jointer or planer knives in place I understand the basics. I can not find any good info online. How do you lock the cutterhead in position so it does not rotate while cutting.
Any info especially on Delta 8" jointer is welcome.

First you remove the knives. Then packages them up and send to one of the many professional sharpening services available. When you get them back you say “phew, that was a better use of my time!”

    In jest of course.

Cutterheads designed to have the knives sharpened in place have an indexing pin and disk on the end of the cutterhead to hold the knife in the correct position. For a planer or jointer without a built in indexing fixture you would need to improvise some sort of lock.

Matt's suggestion makes a lot of sense. Three sets of knives. One in the machine, one on the shelf, one at the sharpener's.
