    12" disc sander

On a 12" disc sander I would like to change my PSA pads to velcro ,hook and loop . Having trouble finding a supplier . Is there any reason this would be a problem .Sure would make changing grits alot easier .

Klingspor has a stick on hook pad I think it is 12x24 inches. If you do this punch a few holes over the screws so you can tighten them if they ever come loose.

These folks sell a 12" H&L adapter. If you make the switch let us know how it works. It seems like a great idea.

The one slight downside to using H&L instead of PSA on a big disc sander like this is that there's going to be a slight "cushion" effect if you press a workpiece hard into the wheel while shaping. In a few cases, that "could" affect accuracy in a small way, but that would generally be a subjective thing. PSA directly to the wheel has "no give"...

This. I would keep it PSA.
