    Minimax MM 16 blade lengths

My question is this, to owners of these saws with a 12 resaw height is the recommended blade length 142.52'' to 145.67'' ? Thanks,Mike.

Thanks Jim and Ken.I am looking at a used saw and trying to determine the resaw height so that answers my question.

Mike, I've really enjoyed my MM16 (I got one of the last 12" re-saw machines before they bumped it to 16") and it does everything I've asked of it. It would be very rare to need more capacity, although the higher 16" machines do give slightly more visibility. The other nice thing about the generation machine you're looking at is it will run on a 20 amp circuit. The bigger ones bumped the motor up in hp and that slotted them into a 30 amp circuit requirement. No big deal in my shop as my other two MM machines require 30 amp, but at the time it was convenient.

My 2004 MM16 has 14” resaw (with Carter guides). Blade length is 146.5-149.5

My MM16 says 149" right on the saw. I think it has 14" resaw capacity, was made just before they went to the 5 horse motor.

I had actually forgot that there was an "interim" version between the 12" re-saw capacity MM16 I have and the later 16" re-saw capacity MM16...
