    Turning a Churn

Posted an advise request over in Forum: Woodworking Projects. Will be doing some repairs, turning some churn dashers for a client and was wondering about churn dasher wood species. Does any of the turner group have any experience with churns?

Chances are,if there was a close up of the wood , it could be identified. Take one of the pieces to be replaced and scrape/plane/ or spokeshave down to some fresh grain under the patina, post a picture and you should get a consensus.Sounds like a fun job.
