    Elevated Dog Bowl Holder

Pecan to match the hutch already in the kitchen. I couldn't resist adding a little pizzazz to it with a Blacker House leg detail.

I took advantage of the build to practice some joinery.

The stretchers got a template routing treatment.

    Ready for glue up.

I will be using an amber tint to try to match the oil-finished hutch.

I'll post a last pic once the finish is done.

That's one of the best looking "dining room" tables I've seen.

Very nice. I like the leg details. What breed of dog(s) is this for? I'm assuming not a Pekinese.

She's an American Bull Terrier mutt. Something long and lanky in her mix somewhere. I caught a picture of her face in between two of her more "normal" poses.

Just kidding, she's actually a great shop dog. A bed frame is next on the list for 'her highness'.

Agree with everyone. Look forward to more pics when completed. BTW, what are the dimensions?
Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

Its about 12" tall, 12" deep and about 20" wide. I scaled it based on her height and the dishes to be held.

Those two lying down are typical poses for our Coonhound also. She's about the same size.

    Wow, nice job!

The last dog bowl holder I made was of 3/4" plywood. The german shepherd textured it with his teeth.

That's a fun project. I love my Mortise Pal, especially for larger mortises. It's really too bad they went out of business :-(. I really hoped someone would have picked that product up and continued it.

I too was confused by this. A very well made product that has served me well. If I knew they were going to stop making them I would never have sold my original version when I bought the new version ;-)

Just closing the loop on this. I got a pretty good color match to the hutch which was built back in 2013.
