    Just finished.

    Walnut lid with walnut oil finish. Big Leaf Maple end grain bowl with WTF poly. 4 3/4" high and 5" wide. I thought that is was past time to put up a turning post.

    WTF- Wood turners finish by General Finishes. It is a fast drying water based poly.

    Great job, really love the contrast between the different species of the walnut and maple wood.

    Very nice! I like the proportions and wood combination.

    I have some WTF that I tried and put aside. I'll have to give it another try. Why did you not use it on the walnut? The open grain?

    The walnut is pretty tight grained. Used oil to give the lid a softer look, in contrast to the poly. PM me if needing help with the wtf poly.

    There was an update edit dated 2015
