    Here is a 4hp Leeson for $507. http://www.electricmotorwholesale.com/LEESON-120998/ You might check to see if right or left tilt makes a difference. I have also seen people weld up a bracket so that any motor can be bolted up. I recall that Delta has a unusual shaft size. Good ole Delta.

    I paid about 2k six years ago with be Izmir's fence and extended table. The tool shop replaced all the upper for 550.00 about 6 months ago. Do I spend the 700.00 +? Probably lol!! It's still cheaper than s new saw.

    That really doesn't matter. As long as the capacitor is of the correct rating & you can find some way to mount it to the motor, you good. Maybe fasten it with some perforated strapping. Just make sure the terminations are insulated.
