    New Dust Collection technology from a lathe maker

    I looked into it a couple years ago out of curiosity. At $4,000 I don't see anyone buying it except for maybe a business. Maybe. And it's not even as powerful as my Oneida 3hp that was 1/4 the cost.

    Bridge City Toolworks was the first one to bring these to our attention. I don't think straight up comparing the "power" of this to the power of the units we're used to makes sense. The tech is sufficiently different that saying it is less powerful could be meaningless. It's like comparing a diesel engine that is rated at 130 hp to a gas engine of the same horsepower. The gas engine is a 600cc four cylindern a Yamaha R6 and the diesel is in a Isuzu box truck. Both will get you and some stuff across town, but beyond that....
