    A 2 x 6, and a couple Oak cleats...

    And a few screws.

    Well, there is one cleat.....turn this over, install the cleat into the vise

    Add the other cleat on the end...

    There is something missing in the 2 x 6..

    needed to "refresh" this track, a bit...

    #78 worked just fine. Clamped a bit of scrap, and marked a line..

    And get the "chuting plane" out of the til..

    Stanley No. 5-1/2, type 17....
    Check with a square..

    Works for me. Angles are done by adding the required wedge against the stop cleat.
    This is more for cleaning up cuts made at the bandsaw......mitre saw really doesn't need this set up.

    Can't afford a dedicated shooter plane, that just sits around, doing nothing else. I use whatever I am using at the time.....lately haven't needed to do much shooting, the Langdon 75 does a decent enough cut, that shooting is not needed.
