Jewelry Box out of Spalted Maple

I made this for a friend of mine. She absolutely loves it. What you think? I know I need more pictures of it.

Looks great! Do you have pix of the inside? The finish on that came out great. Do the sides pull out?

Although I'm not normally a fan of the rustic look, this piece is quite attractive. Nice job.

I'm going to get a few more pics. I only took that one and just realized that. As for the rustic look, it is all natural wood, its spalted maple. I don't use any stain on anything I build. I clear coat then that's it...

It's impossible to tell from the picture. I think you should make another just like it and when you send it I'll get my wife to comment on it after a month or two.

It looks fantastic. What are the approximate dimensions?

I wondered about the knobs on the side too - function or design element?

Nice composition. Would love to see pics with it opened.
Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

The front is really good, and looks like some great exotic wood. I think any rustic perception comes from the light colored top and bottom. Dark would put it into a different gear. The angle might make the top look a little thicker than it really is.
