The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
Yes, that must have been tricky. Care to detail out the joinery, and how you did it?
OK, I'm fully impressed. Tell us more please.
nice work!
F68C2ED5-BF90-4F03-AA28-C2066CCC7C43.jpgThe angled joints at the legs and the square ones at the rails were all joined using the Domino 700 with the dominoes being about 7” long as I recall. A lot of hand work with rasps after roughing out on bandsaw and 4-1/2” grinder. Of course a lot of sanding also. My finish of choice is typically conversion varnish.
The top you’d expect to be glass to really show off the base but in this case it was Rosewood veneer (clients preference) about 42” x 105” x 1-1/4” thick

Excellent job Steve!

So much to learn, so little time.....
Lovely. What is the base for the veneer? It makes sense with the dominoes.
You can do a lot with very little! You can do a little more with a lot!
Wow, I love that base, very nice job
Absolutely Beautiful
