    Drum sander

    Ready to buy drum sander need help . the drum up/down are table up/down which is recommended

    Probably better posted in the general woodworking fourm. What size? I have the supermax 18-36 drum up and down. I haven't many positive things about tBle up/down for this class sander.
    When working I had more money than time. In retirement I have more time than money. Love the time, miss the money.

    IMO stationary table is the way to go, just for the fact that you can use infeed/outfeed tables. If the table moves up/down, you cannot use tables. IF you will never sand something longer than twice your sander bed length, you can go for the moving bed.
    I have an old performax 16". Awesome tool for what it's designed for. Just remember it's not a planer.

    I like my little Rigid. Right now it's sale at Home Depot here in CA for about $200.00 bucks that about $1.50 US!!!!
