Needing 4 watt advice

I am considering buying a used (about 1hour ??) It is a china made 40m watt with the laser draw control, dongle key, laser glasses, & honeycomb bed. Will this be suitable for cutting small designs in different exotic woods to a depth of 1/16 to 1/8 inch.

Otherwise known as the K40 or Orion? Buy a real laser/engraver that works, take some time and do some Searching and reading on here. BTW those Chinese K40 lumps are $400 or less new. Will it cut what you want perhaps, take along some of your wood and let the seller demo for you. With the K40 machine you need to be prepared to repair as needed. I have a wonderful 40 watt machine that is not a K40, paid a little under $3k to my door.
