Thread: Surprise below the surface...any advice welcome

    Jim, the resin/epoxy worked out real well. It darkened a few of the “tracks”, but only to a shade that I think the rest of the sap wood will eventually become. As you said, it dries sort of “soft” and planing it smooth was a breeze. Appreciate the introduction into a new-to-me solution!

    I'm glad it worked out. As I noted previously, my preference is always to fill gaps with actual wood, but sometimes you have to do something different...and your situation was clearly one of those times.
