    Dimar dado blades

    Hello,
I'm wondering if anybody has tried Dimar's dado blades? Are they as good as Freud or Forrest King? I'm not happy with my $100 Delta set (to much tearout and not a flat bottom). In Canada, Dimar's are about $100 dollars cheaper than the Dado King's. Dimar's also look like they copied Freuds design.
    Thanks, Brent

If you can find Systimatic blades in Canada go with them. I own both Forrest and Systimatic sets and get an equal cut from each. The Systimatic set has full plate chippers and cost me a $100 less than the Forrest. I bought a glue-line rip from them and it had some chatter, I talked to the West coast rep and he replaced it, IOW good service to boot.

You might take a look at the DeWalt - check it out on Amazon. They're right at (or just under) 100 bucks and seem to work quite well. I've not used mine very much, but the handful of cuts that I've made have been flat bottomed and splinter free. The wide variety of shims and the storage case are nice, too....

You have any references to the Dimar?
