    NE Walnut

This is from the crotch of the tree. It's 7" x 13". I really messed up when I cut the blank. I wasn't thinking and had one side way to tall... it was top heavy with a small foot, so I had to remove the foot and leave the bottom a little thicker than usual, but at least it wont tip over now. Of course any critiques welcome.

Quite a nice bowl Ernie, some outstanding features are reflected. I see the mountains as well, I also see the dreaded vortex beginning to form at just about 3 o'clock.

Your doin that Walnut up mighty proud.

  13. Beautiful work, Ernie! I have one complaint though, the pictures are too small. Make your pictures larger so we can see all the glorious beauty without our glasses. I not talking about the thumbnails but the pictures need to be bigger, man. When you got something that pretty make it big enough to crow about....

Nice Ernie...As I went out to get the paper this morning I looked at the black walnut tree in my front yard and just smiled. Those dang walnuts are a real pain every other year ya know.

From what I can tell they look great, but I wish you could post larger pictures so I could see the figure in the bowls better.
