I know there have been a lot of Amazon "deal" threads lately. I'm sorry if they're getting old. I just ordered the Porter Cable 557 Plate Joiner for 159.20. It ships for free and there's a $30.00 rebate on the joiner as well. If you scroll part-way down the product page there is a link to add an assortment of 1000 biscuits for free.
129.20 is a pretty darn good deal for this tool - especially with the free biscuits. I think the average selling price for this is 199.00 or so.

That is a great deal! I paid $200 for mine almost five years ago. I bought it from Amazon, and it has been a great tool, and it came with the biscuits. Glad I bought it then, as I have gotten more than $70 use out of it.
As for great deal alerts getting old...NEVER. You are helping those that may be considering this tool to save money. This may therefore make the tool affordable for them, or allow them to buy something extra with the savings. Thanks for the heads up. Regards, Bill

A while back I had thought about getting an edge bander and put the Freud EB100 into my saved items part of the cart. I think it was in the high 200's but now it's $175. I don't think I'll get it, but those of you in the market for one might be interested.

Well, it went up $20, but with the $30 rebate and free shipping, it's still a great deal, IMO. I orderd one and the 1000 free biscuits.
