    Shop Visit

So, Tyler, I'll open with a plea for mercy. No pics. I could give you the whole story but it probably wouldn't suffice. Just know from one TJH to another, we just couldn't get pics done.

Today Corbin Alstot and I shared a couple of hours in my shop. Corbin brought a finely tuned Bedrock 41/2 with a Hock iron and we made some curls; talked about life, love and projects.

The reciprocal visit is downstream, after a trip he and his wife have on the books, and we will post pics of that visit. I promise Tyler.

In summary, the Creek provided another fun and interesting contact with a fellow woodworker.

Many thanks to those who make the Creek flow.

TJH in Houston, happy about a Shop Visit today!

No, no, not that. Not double secret probation.

I'll sharpen irons, sweep you shop, strip rust off your old equipment, but not DSS!

Oh, the folly of my ways.

TJH, in Houston, cowering in the corner of the shop, hoping Tyler's wrath misses the mark.

    Tom and Tyler/
It was not Tom's fault; I should have brought the camera. If I had you
would have gotten a peek at a very thought out and equipped shop.
There might have been even a view to a golf course. Tom and I had great
fun making shavings with my 604-1/2 which was not cooperating. It was
sharp, I just could not get it to cut parallel to the board.

Hopefully Tom will have his 605 together by then so that we can have a
little competition when you visit my modest shop in a few weeks.

I did get to drool on some of Tom's vintage tools. To make amends to
Tyler's rigid rules I will post a picture of Tom's plane as it will look when completed (with a revised lever cap).

Tom, thanks for the hospitality, I will have you over in a few weeks and I
will provide the camera, although I think your shop looks more impressive then mine.
