I Think I May Be Losing Touch With Reality

I was at the Blue store today and saw a set of 2 Kobalt bar clamp/spreaders (12" quick grip style) on the sale table. The set included an extender that tied the two together end to end to make one long clamp. The set was priced at $12.95.

Now here's the weird part. I thought to myself..."I really don't need any more clamps." and walked away.

Do you think therapy would help?

Might be too late but it's worth a shot. Maybe you should just go lie down in a darkened room for awhile.

Thats a strange one for me too.
I do cabinets and staricases for a living.
Last count on clamps was over 400
Spring, bar, f,c, cabinet master, bessey, on and on.

And----I still look for deals on clamps
It's hard to pass up a good deal.

I have never, never, never seen any shop with enough clamps!

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

You should go out immediately and buy something cool for the shop. It will make you feel better.

    Good luck on your recovery.

Watch ten episodes of "The Woodwright's Shop" on PBS.

Go back and buy two sets. That will make up for your momentary disconnection from reality.
Where did I put that tape measure...

    Ron, I'm really sorry.

But I think you already went too far. First you put yourself in a position of satisfaction, then you tried to talk yourself out of it, THEN you actually WALKED AWAY!!! I think "three strikes and you are out" applies here.

I could be wrong... but surely not about clamps!

I do think your original diagnosis was correct.
