Don't know about the P 2 but LOML got me the Nikon L 4 as an annaversary present this month and I love it.

I really like the P1. It's $299 at my Costco and I will be getting that next week. However, I don't think you could go wrong with the P2. Hey, it's a Nikon.

don't worry too much about the 'very few' negative comments, these sites are notoriously picky and the average to experienced user will not even notice this stuff. they have little criticisms of every camera. the p2, however, gets a very high rating. for that price you can't go wrong.

Nikon is in the top tier of digitalcams. They are 1 of the best! I'm not familiar w that partricular model. Check Stevesdigicams.com for reviews.
