I designed this platform todler bed for a friend and need some advice. The feet on the platform are roughly 4" square. I have 2 options that I see...
1. Use solid wood about 1" thick, miter them together and use biscuits or pocket hold screws for joinery ( could also be splines I suppose).
2. Use 3/4" baltic birch ply to build the 4x4 foot, then add 1/8" oak vaneer on all 4 sides.
All trestles will be connected with knock down bed hardware and makes me lean toward option #2...
I've attached 2 pictures of the conceptual design. Any and all comments welcome.
Thanks in advance...
