Metalic epoxy fill

Several years ago I heard tell of a material that could be poured into a cavity and when cured, looks a whole lot like metal. Pewter, brass, copper.... It could be drilled, sanded, cut with a laser maybe?

Anyone know of such a beast?

It's called the cold casting process and you can make your own , you need metal powder and general casting resin , about 60-70% powder (brass , bronze , aluminium , copper) and the rest resin. Buy a resin with a long pot life for this , the powders can make the resin go exothermic (heat and bubble) so add the metal to the resnin in small amounts , works a charm. You can paint the cavity with this and form a type of outer skin and then fill the rest with cheaper stuff , the metal powders tend to be pricey.
