    bandsaw blade problem

I resaw quite a bit of osage orange on my Grizzly G0555 bandsaw. I'm limited to 6" but that's OK for what I do most of the time.
My resaw blade is a Timberwolf 3/4"X4 tpi. I have found that OO dulls a blade fairly quickly.
Yesterday a new blade arrived and I had to cut some OO for waiting orders.
Wouldn't you know it....a piece of wood got jammed between blade and insert. It bent one tooth and slightly kinked the blade at that point.
I tried straightening the tooth then resumed cutting. It cuts OK but leaves the wood very rough.
Would it be OK to put the blade on an anvil and try to remove the kink by tapping with a hammer?
New blade, I hate to waste it.

I have done the same thing and with the hammer the metal seams to spring back
You may be better off with a vise but be careful not to take the set out of the the teeth.

    Bent tooth

If there is one or two bent teeth, why not take to them with a metal file and file them down to zero - who knows?

Interested to hear the thought of others?

I did the anvil and tap-tap thing on the kink. Can't spot the bent tooth anymore and it took out most of the kink. Haven't used it yet but I believe it will be OK for purpose intended.
