    Why can't I cut & paste?

It's not an option anymore when I right click in the message window. I used to be able to, but it changed some time back.

I can paste from other programs like Word.

    Any ideas?

Thanks guys, that'll work. I still don't understand why the right-click option went away though...

    Aha!
Don’s post got me to thinking something was messed up on my end. I can now cut & paste! I made a change in the User CP/ Edit Options/ Miscellaneous Options dropdown.
It was set to “Enhanced Interface – Full WYSIWYG Editing.
I changed it to “Standard Editor – Extra Formatting Controls” and now I can cut & paste again!

    it’s been a slow day…

Well Bruce, from this neck of the woods, and using IE,
Ctrl c copies and Ctrl v pastes.

Ctrl c enter also copies; not sure why different result from skip coyne’s.

When I mouse potato select and right click text I can cut, paste, copy/delete and paste with no problems in both quick-reply windows and the post reply window.

Did you perhaps run while holding scissors in gradeschool? Or did you hold them point side up while walking? Wondering if there is a revocation of your cut and paste activities?

    That’s interesting Bruce,
I once set UCP setting to “Enhanced Interface – Full WYSIWYG Editing”, and could not post the simplest message.

Possibly because I paste from Word?

    Wondering.

Don't worry...I miss my "ALT" codes in vBulletin based systems when using FireFox, which is all I pretty much use. Any attempt to use them throws me out of a post, losing what I already typed. It's been this way for awhile. Copy/Paste has the "copy" in the right mouse button context sensitive menu, but not paste...but I'm a habitual Ctl-V user for that anyway...
