    Okay, this is kinda weird......

A number of times today, somewhere around 4 or 6, I have clicked on a thread after getting a list of them by clicking on "New Posts". Instead of going to that thread, I get directed to a members profile page. It doesn't happen every time but just enough to make me notice just now. It's not the same persons profile each time but it IS someone who has posted to the thread that I was attempting to read, either the original poster or the person to post last.

The last time this has happened, just before writing this, I was attempting to read the "Contractor saw adjustment" thread and was instead directed to Basil Rathbone's profile. Now, I'm not trying to make trouble but because of the weird occurence his name struck me as sounding a little too funny. I did a search and he is actually Basil Rathbone, a land surveyor in partnership with a Mr. Goodrich up in Williams Lake BC, Canada. So, it probably has nothing to do with him.

Given the recent trouble, I just wanted to point this weird occurence out.

If it's nothing then I'm sorry for the trouble.

BTW, I have entered a new alphanumeric password. I did it shortly (within 10 minutes) after we came back up online and I read that you folks recommended that we do so.

I haven't paid attention to the other particular threads until just now when it happened once too many times, know what I mean? But I will be paying close attention from now on.

I have tried to remember the threads that I have frequented today.

Bevel Up vs. Regular Smooth Plane

    Miter sled tuning

    Strange tablesaw behavior

    "The Sawmill thread"

    A relabeling job or what

What a great day-Awesome wood and a new friend

I'm sorry, I'm not remembering any others right now. I DON'T REMEMBER IF IT HAPPENED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCESS ANY OF THESE THREADS! These are just threads that I now that I was in today.

I'll let you know if I remember any others of if it happens again.

Oh, other than Basil Rathbones name (sorry), I do know that none of the names were "funny" or suspicious sounding.

    Mark,

If you click just below the title of the thread on the New Posts listing, you'll be clicking on the originator's name, which takes you to his/her profile. Happens to me all the time if I click just a little low.

I agree and understand Aaron. And I very well may have done so some of the times that it happened, being the bonehead that I am. I even thought that I may be doing that as well. However, at least in the one example that I gave of Basil Rathbone, He was the last poster, and not the original poster, across the page to the right. When his profile came up I took notice of my cursor and it was on the left side of the page. While I can't confirm any of the other times, that one was definately not an errant click.

However, I haven't had it happen since yesterday so I will do the wait and see thing. I will let you know if anything happens again.

Again, if this turns out to be nothing, I'm very sorry for wasting your time.
