    Jet Parallel Clamp Sale

Rockler has the new Jet parallel clamp sets on sale. This includes 2 24" and 2 40" Jet clamps and the accessories that make them such an improvement over Bessys'. The flyer that came out today anounced this sale and the website hasn't even caught up with this yet. You may have to call to get this deal. This set is normally priced at $195/ea and is on sale for $99.99... This sale is good until 10/1... I looked at these clamps at IWF and the Jets are light years ahead of Bessy!

Steve, The fact that you own both Besseys and cabinet masters. Which do you like better?. The one think I don't like about the Besseys is when they can be finicky to open and clamp. Do find it to be true with the Cabinet masters?

I definately prefer the Bessey's over the Cabinetmasters...and if I had my choice I prefer the Gross Stabil's over all of them. But the margin of difference is so small I usually buy the cheapest. The biggest problem with the CMs is that they dont stay open and have a tendancy of slamming down on unsuspecting fingers.

To be honest I can't compare them yet.
I have 28 CM's, use them all the time.
They are finiky? at times opening them.
I bought 12 Besseys on the last Bessey sale.
They are still in the box

If I had it to do all over again on those type of clamps, I probably would not have bought any of them. You can't get the pressure like with a pipe clamp. And the clamp head slides, just backwards from a pipe clamp.
