After learning what a clave was from this learned group ( A bonker with no curves), I proceeded to make a pair for my six year old. Now if I can only sell a few pairs for $1500 each, I can start to balance my downward spiral into the abyss.
The claves on top are from my school and the walnut ones are the ones I just finished.

Clave - (clah-veh) a percussion instrument probably as old as man.
Spose you could turn them out of ebony or pink ivory, embelish them with gold and diamonds, and get a few bucks for them. It's like the guy who was trying to sell a car for a million bucks. When asked how he expected to succeed with such a high price, he replies "yeah, but I only have to sell one!"
