Thread: WB Sander vs Joiner

    Question WB Sander vs Joiner

If you had a choice of flattening a board would you rather use a wide belt sander or would you opt for a 12" or wider joiner.
    WHY?

a jointer will do a better job for most applications. I have found that pieces under 3 feet long and very figured do better in my wide belt than the jointer. If I had a sprial cutter head in my jointer it might be a different story
