Thread: More Black Walnut NE

  1. More Black Walnut NE

I promise I'm just about done...

This first one is 13" x 10-3/4" x 6"... lost a couple of pieces of bark on the one end and made it a little lopsided. Buffed antique oil finish.

The second one is 17-1/4" x 14" x 7-1/2". Buffed antique oil finish.

I especially like how one side is higher than the other. I'm going to try to capture that idea on my next one. Beautiful piece Mark!

Mark, I can't beleive you were able to save as much bark as you did. You've got the "touch" that's for sure.

Really nice. If you hadn't said something about the bark, I wouldn't have known some came off. Just looks really craggy (so much the better). I like it!

  11. Thanks all... the reason it's so much taller on one end than the other is because of about two big chunks of bark gettin' knocked off... the low end looked pretty much like the high end before "Horace" (any True Grit fans out there?) ran into it.
