Inlace question posted on the general board

I know turners often use Inlace or similar products. I need something similar to disguise a mistake on a flatwork project, but have never used this product. Any advice on the pros/cons/suitability of Inlace?

Details are posted on the general woodworking page.

    Thanks.

Joe inlace will work on flat work. I used it on some wormy boards when I built a couple of lazy susans. It is easier to use on flat surfaces because it will not run. Inlace is a thick liquid. Good luck with it.

    Joe,

You can also use epoxy or cyanoacrylate glue to mix with the Inlace granuals or wood chips. I have used cyanoacrylate (medium thickness) and wood chips to make it look like a section of burl in the wood.
