    Bridgewood Jointer Gloat

I recently posted about the Alabama Woodworking Guild getting a grant and buying some equipment. One of the machines we bought is a Bridgewood 12" jointer with a spiral cutterhead.

Here is a picture of the machine running as we did a nickel, penny, dime test. Yes, the machine was running.

The surface finish with machine is simply amazing. Will have to see how long the cutters last before we have to index them.

That, sir, is truly a worthy gloat! I really like the Bridgewood equipment and their customer service is great. Only question I have is: How the heck did you get that dime to balance? I can't even do that with my machines "off"!

John: That is a good question. The president of our guild just placed them on the table while the machine was running and they all stood up. I tried it later with the machine off and it took a couple of tries before I got them all standing up. I guess the mass of the machine overcomes what little vibration there is.
