    Tutorial: Making a Sand Shaded Fan

    I just completed a tutorial on how to make a veneer sand shaded fan. It's available here. It's about a 2MB pdf.

    A sand shaded fan is shown in the attached picture.

    Very cool thanks mike I have always been interested in Veneering but hav'nt had the chanct to give it a try yet. That was very informative.

    another very informative write up .. I will make the recommendation again that we develop a place at SMC to deposit this type of educational material, maybe call it the SMC library

    Thanks, Mike. When I was purusing some of Mario's work while visiting with Alan Turner the other day, I noticed a beautiful inlay on the shelf that used the sand shading method. It's nice to learn how that was done!
